About the Artist
Carmen McNeill is an American painter working in oils, watercolor, and pastels. Born in Western Massachusetts in 1962, she began drawing and painting at a very early age, supported and encouraged by her family throughout her life.
Her work blends both impressionistic and realistic styles, influenced by years of artistic development and guidance from her teachers. This balance allows her to capture not only the visual details of a scene, but also its mood, light, and atmosphere.
After relocating to South Carolina over five years ago, Carmen found renewed inspiration in the region’s sunlit landscapes and sweeping coastal views. The vibrant light, open skies, and expansive seascapes have since become central themes in her work.
Carmen is currently exhibiting her work with the Seacoast Artists Guild in Market Commons, South Carolina, where she continues to share her evolving collection with the local community.
